Short for Marxist-Leninist-Maoism.
You could say that Marxism-Leninism-Maoism is just Marxism-Leninism + Mao but MLMs would strongly disagree with that.
Basically Maoism differs from traditional Marxism in that Mao believed that the peasantry (rural farmers), instead of the proletariat (urban factory workers), could become a revolutionary force and usher in communism.
Mao believed that purging and revolution needed to occur continuously in order to prevent the re-formation of a bureaucratic administrator class, which he saw in the Soviet Union. He also thought that only proletarian culture should be allowed to exist and all other forms of culture, including historical objects, books and artifacts, should be destroyed.
